Energy Exchange Records is proud to announce their new creative project, EX Generation with their debut release, The Napoli Exchange.

EX Generation is the new moniker for a series of cross-cultural collaborations led by Energy Exchange co-founders, Ziggy Zeitgeist (30/70, Zeitgist Freedom Energy Exchange) & Lewis Moody (Goodmood, Nubiyan Twist). Based in Berlin & London respectively, the pair co-founded Energy Exchange Records with Benjamin Tramaille in 2022, giving Zeitgeist and Moody a platform for their intercontinental experiments. The most recent example being the release of Energy Exchange Ensemble Vol I. featuring rising stars Allysha Joy and Oscar Jerome, among others.

THE NAPOLI EXCHANGE
Plans for The Napoli Exchange began when Neapolitan tastemaker Federico Gallotti (La Scimmia/Tartelet Records) suggested that Zeitgeist and Moody visit Naples to cut a record with the incredible musicians behind the celebrated sound of Neapolitan Italo-funk popularised by groups like Nu Genea.
The trio enlisted Paolo “Bata” Bianconcini (Nu Genea/Parbleu), Pietro Santangelo (Nu Genea/PS5), Paolo Petrella (Fratelli Malibu/Cumbia Luciana), Alessio Pignorio (Parbleu/Funkin’ Machine), Dario Bassolino (Bassolino/LNDFK), Allysha Joy (30/70) and emerging singer-songwriter Honey Lips. The musicians set about finding a creative middle ground. The resulting 9 track LP is a sun-drenched blend of Mediterranean funk, disco & groove.
